Periapical x-rays

Periapical x-rays

Each Periapical X–ray shows this full tooth dimension and includes all the tooth structure (including crown, roots and surrounding bone structures) in  either the upper or lower jaw.

Periapical X–rays are used to detect any abnormalities of the root structure and surrounding bone structure. They are also typically used during root canal therapy and to evaluate the success of root canal therapy or root surgery.
